It's Nana's Birthday!!!

And guess what, Nana?!?! Your sign made such a cool noise and was so much fun to play with!!!

Mommy had to hide it so that I'd eat my green beans!!! :)

Happy birthday, Mom. We love you!!!

Oops...he did it again!!!

Fell asleep in his highchair that is!
We gave up on getting Liam to finish the rest of his dinner and put him down for a nap.
When Liam woke up, we were chowing down on some ice cream cookie sandwiches, so I thought I would give him a taste. He loved it!!!
He licked as much off of his lips as possible, but he couldn't get all of it.
You can see the longing in his eyes for the ice cream in this next picture. I'm sure he's thinking, "No, Mama! Please give me one more taste before you finish off that ice cream!!!"

Weekend fun

We started out our Friday with a delicious recipe that I got from my friend, Julia's, blog. It's called Candy Chicken and let me tell ya...it was wonderful and super easy! After dinner we took Liam to the park in our neighborhood for the very first time to give the swings a try. Unfortunately, he was way too small for the swings still, as you can see in this picture. It looks like he could slip out of one of the leg holes at any second!
I think he was much happier swinging in Daddy's arms than swinging on his own.
After we finished swinging, we put Liam back in his stroller and headed to the lake in our neighborhood.
Here's Liam hanging out by the lake. There were a lot of bugs flying around, so we didn't stay long.
On Saturday morning, Liam helped out with some laundry. Don't you just love his new guitar outfit?!?!
Saturday night, David headed out to dinner for Thad's bachelor party while Liam and I headed to have dinner with the bride-to-be, Skye, and her mom. Liam did great until 7:30, which is his self-imposed bed time. He screamed, and I mean screamed for the first 20 minutes of the drive home and finally fell asleep. He woke up as soon as we got home, I changed him, fed him, put him down and..........................HE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!!!!! We heard nothing from him until 7:00 the next morning! It was wonderful! Last night, Liam was extremely tired at 6:30, so we started his bed time routine 30 minutes early, put him down at 7:00 and.......................HE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT AGAIN!!!!!!!!! I know I'm probably cursing myself, but I just feel so blessed to have two full nights of sleep in a row!!! I'll let ya know how tonight goes..............

Problems

I have been trying to upload pics, so I can post a new blog all morning long! Is anyone else having problems or is it just me?!?!

Back to normal!

Everyone in our household is finally healthy again!!! Hopefully we have made our last visits to the doctors for a long time!!! Since we've been feeling better, we've done some shopping with some friends. This is Shannon, the granddaughter of one of the other 5th grade teachers. She is the best helper in the world when it comes to setting up a classroom. Her grandma and I seriously fight over her!!! It doesn't hurt that Liam absolutely loves her!
Liam has started this new thing where anytime we are in public, especially when I am trying on clothes, he "talks" in a very high-pitched voice. Most people laugh about it, but I have definitely gotten some looks from people who I am sure never had children of their own. Here he is happy as can be in his stroller...without the car seat. He loves being able to wiggle!!!
Last weekend David's sister, Shalayna came to visit. Shalayna was getting over strep (which I am sure we did NOT give her while we were home for the 4th!), so we didn't do much while she was in town. But, we will be spending a lot more time with her very soon. She is going to Florida with us as a sort of nanny, so that we don't have to leave Liam behind!!!
This was Shalayna's attempt at getting a pic of Liam and I together! At least she got half of my face! HAHA!
A few weeks ago, we had Skye's bachelorette party. We started out at the Cheesecake Factory...yummy!!!I'll have more pics to post soon, because we're taking Liam to the park for the first time tonight!!!

Oops!

I don't know how it happened or who is responsible, but my son has turned into a spoiled little baby and an amazing fit thrower since he's been sick! The only time he is happy now is when he is in mommy's arms. Here's the proof...

Throwing a fit while in his jumperoo...
Throwing a fit while in his Bumbo...
Throwing a fit while on his play mat...
Throwing a fit while on his blanket (I think he's so angry in this one he could breath fire!)...
BUT...he is happy when pulling Ross's hair!

So, I've been busy all day long holding my precious, spoiled baby and have got nothing done around the house. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!)

Happy Birthday, America!!!

Our weekend started on Wednesday, because David had Thursday and Friday off. I was so excited to head to Bartlesville to spend time with our families, but Liam started acting like he didn't feel too great. So, I called his doctor and made an appointment for him on Wednesday morning. Liam didn't have a fever, but his throat was red and he was really stuffy. The PA ran a strep test, but it came back negative, so she said he probably had a small head cold and was fine to travel over the weekend. So, we headed out of town Wednesday evening. Liam was a little fussy and didn't have much of an appetite, but seemed to be feeling better everyday. We got back in town last night and got a call from the doctor's office today saying that they sent off the second strep swab and it came back positive. Poor baby! He started the antibiotics tonight, so hopefully he'll be back to normal soon! Here are some pics from the weekend of our precious, sick baby boy.

Since Liam was a little under the weather, he spent more time than usual sleeping on us. Here we are cuddling in Papa's recliner.
In hopes of getting Liam a little more water to help with his "head cold", his Grandma Dye gave him a sippy cup. I don't think he got very much liquid out, but he loved chewing on the spout!
For the Fourth we went to my grandma's house in Missouri. We had a blast seeing family we hadn't seen in a really long time. Liam loved all of the attention he got!

Playing on Great Grandma Swaim's sofa. Please excuse the squash all over his bib!!!
Hanging with Nana.
Who needs toys when you've got cup holders?!?! For some reason, he was fascinated with the cup holders on the lawn chairs!
Playing with Aunt Vicki. Don't you just love the hat Nana bought him?!?! We searched everywhere for a hat that fit his tiny head and FINALLY found some at Gymboree. They had so many cute ones that we couldn't decide on one, so Nana bought two!
Liam hated the hammock! This is the only picture of about 10 where he's not crying. I must say, I loved the hammock and could have slept in in for hours!
This cutie is my cousin's little boy, Tyler. He is so much fun and was super sweet to Liam! I told him to smile big, and this is the grin he gave me...I love it!!!
Liam loved the swing that was hung on the trees right next to the hammock. He spent about an hour napping in daddy's arms, while daddy watched baseball on his phone.
I found the cutest Fourth of July outfit at Kohl's that came with this swimsuit. I love that store! In this picture, Liam is watching Tyler and Miss Emme play in the pool. The water was really cold and Liam hated it at first, but he eventually got used to the cool water and started splashing around in it.
Here is sweet Tyler trying to show Liam how to play in the pool. Tyler is so good with babies...he totally needs a little brother or sister! ;)
This is the other hat that Nana bought Liam from Gymboree...I think it might be the cutest one!
I didn't get any pictures of Liam loving the fireworks, because I was a little distracted due to the fact that before they began, a SNAKE SLITHERED ACROSS MY FOOT!!! I flipped out!!! I used Liam being tired as an excuse to go back into the house!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth! We are so blessed to be living in this wonderful country!!!
