Family Pictures

Our friend, Chris, who took our pictures last week gave us a CD today with all of the wonderful pictures he took. There are over a hundred of them and I had a horrible time choosing the few I am going to share. I have also added some to my sidebar and to my header. He is an amazing photographer! Get ready for some serious cuteness...

As soon as we put these cute overalls on Liam, one of the buttons broke, but we made it work.

Liam has been teething for weeks. His hand is in his mouth non-stop.

Josh Hamilton is our favorite baseball player. We went to a Ranger's game right after I found out I was pregnant, and I made the guys wait around at the tunnel to get his autograph, just in case I had a boy. I'm either going to send this picture of Liam in Hamilton's jersey off to Hamilton or wait around at the tunnel again to get it autographed for Liam's wall. If you don't know anything about Josh Hamilton, you should check out his story. He has an amazing testimonial!

I just love those eyes!

Thanks again, Chris. The pictures are better than I ever expected them to be!!!

Big winner and some family pics

I won my first bloggy giveaway!!! Jenna from Jenna's Journey was giving away this cute necklace from Forever 21...and I won!!! I was so excited. I can't wait to wear it. Thanks, Jenna!

Last week some good friends of ours, Chris and Tif, took some family pics for us. You can get a sneak peak on their blog, The Pirtle Family. I love how the pictures turned out and I can't wait to put them up on our walls!!! I must say that when you have my adorable son and my handsome husband as subjects...it's not too hard to make a picture look good! ;) Thanks, Chris and Tif, for taking the time to shoot some pics of us! You are amazing and should consider ditching your careers to begin new ones as photographers!!!!!!!!

Happy 6 months, Liam!!!

It's so hard to believe that 6 months have past since the day Liam was born! Everyday that passes, I love this little guy more and more! Sometimes I feel like my heart could just explode!

Liam is starting to be able to sit up for 30 seconds or so if, and only if, his hands are in front of him to help him balance. He is so proud of himself when he does it.
I just love this outfit he got from the Easter Bunny. It says, "Super Baby". I think it fits his personality! ;)
Liam has recently become extremely interested in his toys. Next to his bouncer, this Baby Einstein ball is his favorite. I love the face he is making in this picture. Anytime he tries to concentrate on doing something, he puckers his lips. You can just see the wheels turning!!
Still holding onto his ball.
Some other things Liam has been up to:
  • He loves squash, sweet potatoes, apple sauce and pears. Bananas and green beans are okay.
  • He hates peas so much that he gags himself as soon as they go into his mouth. He also hates peaches.
  • He reaches for everything.
  • He is obsessed with Aquafina water bottles. When he spots one, he can't take his eyes off of it. He will scream until the bottle is in his hands.
  • He loves the color green.
  • He is still not a big eater and weighs just over 13 pounds.
  • He wears a size 1 diaper and still wears mostly 0-3 month clothes.
  • He loves to pull Ross's hair and laughs when Ross yelps.
  • His eyes are still changing colors. Somedays they look blue, but on others they look green, sometimes gray, and sometimes brown.
  • He loves to stand while holding onto our fingers.
  • He still hates tummy time and doesn't stay on his tummy for long before he rolls onto his back.
  • He is spoiled rotten! He totally knows how to play mommy and daddy. He has us wrapped around his itty bitty finger!!! And most of the time....we love it!!!

What a weekend!

This past weekend was crazy, so crazy that I didn't have time to take many pictures! My mom came in town on Thursday to help me prepare for my best friend, Skye, and her fiance, Thad's, couple's shower that we hosted at our house. We spent all day Friday buying food and all of Friday evening cooking.

Late Friday night, we realized that we needed more spinach for the dip we were making, so David and I headed out to Homeland, which is about a mile from our house. About halfway there, we ran into some major rain and wind. I called my mom back at our house and asked her to check on the weather. When we got to Homeland, David dropped me off at the front door and went to park the car, only I couldn't get into Homeland, because the doors were locked. I turned around to see David speeding back towards me. After he dropped me off, he was listening to the radio and found out that we were under a tornado warning and that the circulation was directly over Homeland and was moving towards our house. I frantically got back into the car and called my mom, who I couldn't get ahold of, because she was calling me. We safely made it home and found mom and Liam taking cover in our bathroom. Thankfully the tornado didn't touchdown until it was further outside of town, so there was minimal damage.

Saturday was David's birthday, so we went to lunch at one of his favorites, La Baguette. After lunch, we headed back to our house to prepare for the shower, which was a blast. (How unselfish is my husband to voluntarily give up his birthday for a shower!?!?!)

This is a picture of the happy couple opening gifts.
And this is how Liam spent his time during the shower...sleeping in Nana's arms. He was worn out from the crazy storm the night before!!!
Skye and Thad's wedding is going to be in Florida. I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun!!! My parents are begging us to leave Liam with them while we are gone, but I just don't know if I can do it! We're going to be gone for almost a full week. I know the car trip would be easier, we would pack less stuff and we'd be able to do a lot more in Florida, but I don't know that I'll be able to enjoy myself as much as I would as if Liam was with us. Has anyone had any experiences that will make our decision of whether or not to take Liam to Florida with us any easier?!?!

Lunch

Today Liam and I met David for lunch at Hideaway Pizza. I love that place! Since we were meeting David, I decided to have Liam wear this cute onesie...

Ha! Our good friend, Annie, made this onesie and about 15 others with cute little sayings on them. So much fun!
