Easter Weekend

We were a little nervous about how our weekend would go because Liam started running a fever during the week. Luckily, he slept a lot Wednesday night and woke up without a fever on Thursday and was acting normal. Unfortunately he had to miss the egg hunt at his sitter's. No worries, though! We had another Easter egg hunt to attend on Saturday.

Liam had so much fun! And I think the practice hunt we did earlier in the week paid off. He was moving so fast that the picture turned out blurry! LOL!!!
Liam knew exactly what to do. He ran straight into the room and started picking up eggs. (The egg hunt was inside because it was raining outside)
Each child was only allowed to pick up 12 eggs each. I think he got a little frustrated when we told him he had to stop.
He reluctantly handed his bucket over to Daddy and went to cheer on Owie who wasn't too into the egg hunt.
Liam just loves Casey and Owie! I'm so thankful that they invited us to the Easter egg hunt and fun festivities!!!
The Easter Bunny seriously spoiled Liam this year! He was so cute when he woke up on Easter. When we told him that the Easter Bunny brought him a surprise, he asked, "What is it?" Then, when he saw his surprise, he asked again. I think he was really confused by the idea of the Easter Bunny coming to his house to bring him a surprise because after he looked at all of his gifts, he asked, "Easter Bunny at my house? Easter Bunny at my house? Easter Bunny at my house?!?!" each time he said it, he got more excited!
After we played with Liam's new toys for awhile, we got ready for church. Don't my boys look sooooo handsome!?!?

I hope everyone had a great Easter! Now, bring on the summer!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it competitive or just prepared?

In preparation for Easter, I thought it would be fun to take Liam outside to practice hunting Easter eggs. David thought I was crazy and said that I was being too competitive. I explained to him that I'm not competitive. I'm prepared!

Liam had so much fun hunting the eggs! At first he didn't know what was going on, but he figured it out pretty quick. I ended up having to hide the eggs about six times!

He's going to be a rock star when it comes to hunting Easter eggs this year!!!!!!!!

Outside projects

We've been keeping ourselves busy on Sundays doing projects in the yard. Liam absolutely loves to "work" outside with us. On this particular Sunday our projects began with a trip to Wal Mart, snow cones, a picnic and then flower planting. Liam's absolute favorite thing to do in the yard is to play with the water hose of course!
After working for a long time, Liam sat down to take a break with his daddy. Notice the gloves he is wearing. If you look closely, they are cold weather gloves with soccer balls on them. He had to have on gloves just like Mommy and Daddy!
I love this time of year. The air smells great, the flowers are blooming, the grass is (mostly) green, there aren't too many bugs yet and it's not too hot or cold to get outside to enjoy it all!

A Day out with Thomas

Last weekend my mom, dad, Liam and I took a trip to Grapevine to see my brother. And to see Thomas the Train. I was a little under the weather, but we still managed to have a great time. Liam was so, so, so excited when he spotted Thomas. Can you tell?
He was also really bummed when he saw Thomas leave the train station for the ride right before ours. Nothing could cheer him up.....until he spotted these stamps. He had so much fun!
Shortly after we got in line for our ride, Thomas came chugging back into the station. Liam was one happy little boy with his conductor's hat facing backwards. (He refused to wear it the right way.)
Liam did great on the train. He was so busy taking everything in! He started out sitting on Nana's lap.
After a little bit, he wanted to sit on his own. He looks so grown up in this picture.
After our ride, I had to jump in front of the camera for a pic with my sweet boy!
After our ride, we headed to the gift shop and managed to spend way too much money on Thomas stuff. I'm tellin' ya......we have one spoiled, little boy on our hands!

Thank you, Nana and Papa, for taking us to Texas to ride Thomas! We had a blast!!!
