Some recent pics

Sorry I haven't updated lately! When I get home from work, all I want to do is hang out with my little man. I know there are some grandmas out there that are having some serious Liam with drawls, so here are some pics for ya!

Yesterday Liam and I went on a walk with Casey and Owen. Liam borrowed one of Owen's hat, so that he wouldn't get a sunburn. Isn't he adorable in it?!?! I sure think so!

Love those eyes and those lips!!! I could just eat him up!!!

Liam and I sporting our orange...too bad the Cowboys lost their game that day.

This was the day that Liam had his last RSV shot. Once again, he took it like a champ! The home health nurse always came to our house to give him the shot, so we had a "Biohazard" container stored in our cabinets. It was great to finally be able to throw it away! Liam suffered his first stuffy nose and ear ache this last week. I think he's finally feeling better, because he's starting to eat more. He loves his new formula and can't get enough of it!!!

These are the flowers David got me my first week back to work. They were beautiful and made a tough week a little less tough.

My new favorite flower...a Gerber Daisy.

Hanging out in his Bumbo. It's amazing how much he is changing. Everyday that passes, Liam seems a little more alert. His personality is starting to come out, and let me tell ya...he is a talker! (He totally gets that from his daddy!)

3 Months Old?!?!?

Where does the time go? It does not seem possible that my little man turned 3 months old yesterday. He is growing so much! The sleeper he has on in this pic used to be way too big for him, now it's officially too small, and won't be worn again. :(
We finally decided it was time to take Liam into public. Here he is on the way to the mall...
And here he is after the mall. I guess the shopping wore him out!
In an attempt to eat at the dinner table at the same time, we gave Liam's convertible highchair a try. I guess he liked it, because he fell asleep as soon as we buckled him in, giving David and I a chance to enjoy a quiet dinner together!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

You can't tell in this picture, but Liam is definitely a "wee bit o' irish" with his reddish hair! Thank you, Uncle Barry, for the St. Patty's Day shirt!!!
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day and the beautiful Spring day, we decided to take Liam to the duck park. We didn't stay too long, because it was VERY windy. Here are a couple of quick pics we snapped before we left.

Pics with Yoda!

Liam and I went to have his 3 month pics taken by a good friend and decided to throw in some Easter pics while we were at it. Apparently the bunnies get really mean by Easter because of all of the kiddos pulling and chewing on their ears, so I guess it's best to have the pics taken early. The first three pics are with the super sweet bunny, Yoda. Yoda really likes to be the center of attention because, as you can see...he kind of takes over! Luckily, Liam is accustomed to little fuzzy creatures crawling around him (our dog, Ross, loves to be near Liam), so the bunny didn't scare him at all. I love this first pic! Yoda and Liam are posing perfectly!
Yoda starting to take over...
Where's Liam?!?! You can see my hand in the top of the pic grabbing for Yoda. Liam took it like a champ!
I love Liam's outfit! He's such a little man!
This one is my favorite from the day.
Liam did NOT like having the bunny on his back...or was it being on his tummy he didn't like?
At this point, Liam is yelling for HELP!!!
I guess the bunnies wore Liam out, because this is what he did when we got home and throughout most of the night. He is such an angel!!!

What have we been up to?

Hanging out with this guy! We got bored last week and pulled out the Bumbo chair. Of the ten pictures I took, this is the only one where he doesn't look miserable. I actually think he looks pretty cute sitting in his Bumbo!
A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated my best friend, Skye's, 30th birthday. My mom came into town to watch Liam, so that we could go to dinner at Soleil with Skye and her family. We had lots of yummy foods and some adult conversation. It was great for David and I to be able to leave the house together for once! Here's a pic of our family before we left for dinner.
Liam finally fits into the outfit we had planned to bring him home from the hospital in!!! We had a hard time choosing the perfect outfit at first. David wanted crimson, and of course I wanted ORANGE. So, we met in the middle and chose an Eskimo Joe's shirt, since that is where we met. Unfortunately, the shirt was a lot too big for him to wear home from the hospital. But, he looks great in it now that he is a TEN pound baby. Yep, that's right...Liam now weighs 10 pounds, 3 ounces. Check out those cheeks and semi-fat rolls on his legs in this pic!!! He is just scrumptious!!!

Wow...

I have been a very bad blogger, but I haven't had a lot to blog about, since we are still under "house arrest". Hopefully, Liam will be allowed into public very soon. I am SO, SO, SO ready to show him off to the world! I am amazed at how fast he is growing! Today we took him to his two month check-up and he weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 inches long. He was in the tenth percentile in weight and third percentile in length. The doctor said that she is definitely not worried about his weight anymore. That's a first!!! Since the day he was born, we have had to worry about whether or not he was eating enough and whether or not he would be able to finish his meal. It's great to be able to relax a little during feedings now.

Liam has had a rash since he was about three weeks old that we can NOT get rid of! We have tried everything...changing detergents, changing our lotions, changing his lotions, changing diapers, ointments, etc. Nothing has seemed to work. So the doctor finally tried antibiotics, because she finally decided the simple rash had turned into a Staph Infection. Fortunately, the antibiotics worked and the infection never got too serious. Unfortunately, the antibiotics made Liam sick, and he threw up every day he was on them. Now we are left with a much less severe looking rash, which the doctor thinks is sensitive, dry skin mixed with a contact allergy. Hopefully the dermatologist we are going to in March will figure out what is causing the rash and we can finally get rid of it. You can see the rash on his belly in some of the pics below.

Liam has discovered his tongue! He is constantly sticking it in and out of his mouth. Sometimes he just sits around with it sticking out of his mouth. Kind of reminds me of my brother...

This picture cracks me up! It totally looks like Liam is trying to dance. I guess he may have been, because he absolutely loves music! I think he got used to hearing it when I was driving to and from work while he was in my belly. Yep, I sing in the car...at the top of my lungs! I have to find a way to make my 30 minute commute entertaining! : )

This is a picture of Liam's wonderful nurse cuddling him right after his shots. He was such a champ! He let out one big yelp, fussed for a little bit and that was it. I guess he figures these vaccinations are nothing compared to all of the sticks and IV's he got while he was in the NICU.
And to wrap this post up, here's a pic of Liam's battle wounds. Notice the stripe on the front of the diaper is blue, which means the diaper is wet. This pic was taken AFTER Liam had been weighed without a diaper and had peed ALL over the wall, scale and nurse! That's my boy!!!!!

Happy Due Date, Liam!!!

We have finally reached Liam's actual due date. We scheduled to have our home health nurse come today, so that we could find out how much he weighed on his due date. Drum roll please.........Liam weighed in at 6 pounds 9 ounces! That's right! He gained 5 ounces since we went to the pediatrician two days ago! Wow!!! This kiddo is an eater!!!

Speaking of eating......When Liam was born 6 weeks early, I felt kind of cheated. I lost 6 weeks of being pregnant, meaning I also lost 6 weeks of being able to eat whatever I wanted without feeling guilty. So, I decided that I deserved those 6 weeks and continued eating like I was pregnant. Now that the due date is upon us, I guess it is time to get a grip and start making healthier choices. No more McDonalds, no more Vitamin D milk, no more Eggo's and no more Caffeine Free Dr. Peppers for me!!! It's time to return to salads, sandwiches and Diet soda. Who knows...maybe I'll even start training for that half marathon I've always wanted to run. Hmmm...we'll see about that one!!!

Bubbles...help!!!

Has anyone else ever had a problem with a thick layer of bubbles forming on top of the formula after it has been shaken up in the bottle??? We had to switch to formula two days ago and every bottle we have made has about a one inch layer of bubbles on top of the formula. I'm not sure if it is the formula we are using (Neosure) or something we are doing wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!
