We have been working hard to get Liam's train table ready to be glued together ever since Liam's birthday. We didn't plan on gluing it together, but after having pieces of the track scattered throughout our house after his birthday party, we decided we didn't have a choice. I found the final accessory yesterday at Target, and David made the final changes last night.

Sledding fun
In my last post I mentioned the view from our living room window. This is what I was talking about. If you look closely, you'll see the birds in the tree across the street. Beautiful, right?
After a few more trips down the hill, Liam took off. I guess we were boring him.On our way back to the house Liam wanted to sled down the hill one more time. (Why is this underlining!?!?)
As soon as they got down the hill, Liam came running back to me as fast as he could yelling, "Again! Again!" Haha! This boy could play all day in the snow!Family pics
So, we're on snow day #4 and it's snowing again. I just turned to look out the window and it's beautiful outside. The snow flakes are huge. The ground is a blanket of white. There are birds fluttering around in the tree across the street. Beautiful. And what's that I hear? Is that silence? Yes! Liam is finally napping! Life is pretty good right now!
As I was making my new header I realized that I never shared our family pictures that were taken in November. I didn't want to share before our Christmas cards were out and then I forgot to make a post with these pics! Here are some of our favorites....
My eyes are so squinty in all of the pictures from this day because my smile was so big! Liam was being funny and was making us all laugh so hard! I couldn't help but to smile HUGE!

I love these little shoes!
I think this is my favorite from the day........

Thank you, Chris and Tif, for taking such amazing pictures of my family!!!February 2, 2011
Snow Day #2
I'm officially going stir crazy! And I need a Dr. Pepper. Real. Bad. I'm hoping that some of this snow will melt so we can get out for a little bit tomorrow. (Although, I hope it's not enough that we have school Friday! Ha!!!)
We suited up and headed outside for about 10 minutes this afternoon. It was so cold. Ross only lasted outside with us for about 2 minutes before sinking into the yard, so I put him back inside the house.
Liam wanted to give the "balance beam" a try!February 1, 2011
Oklahoma Blizzard 2011
Have I mentioned lately that I love snow days? In case I haven't, I LOVE SNOW DAYS! I'm definitely not one of those teachers that hopes for the roads to be clear so we can have school and not have to make up days at the end of the year. I'm all about right now! Snow days are even better since David started his new job today. He now works in academia, so he gets snow days off too!!! You read that right....David's first day on the job was a snow day. How lucky is that?!?!
Liam wanted to go outside from the moment he saw the snow on the ground. We finally gave in around 2:00. We all got bundled up and headed outback.
At first he didn't know what to think. The last bit of snow we had was nothing compared to this.
And he definitely wasn't very happy when he fell for the first time.
But, after Daddy threw one snowball in Liam's direction, Liam quickly got over his fear and threw a snowball right back!
David thought it would be fun to walk behind one of the big snow drifts. Liam just had to join him!
Yep....he's desperately trying to get the door unlocked so he can get out of the house and into the snow!!! Silly boy!!!!

A visit with Grandma
Our Saturday started off with breakfast and Liam showing off for his daddy. While David was out of town, Liam learned to put on his mittens. I think he forgot he knew how until he saw his mittens sitting on the table. And there's no better time to put on mittens than during breakfast, right?

Reunited and it feels so good!
I've been a little MIA lately. At least I have some good excuses this time. First, David went on a trip and took my laptop with him. Sure, I could have blogged from our iMac, but then I would have had to sit in an uncomfortable and cold computer chair. Second, when he finally came home with my laptop, it wouldn't turn on. So, after a little TLC from the Apple Genius Bar, I'm back in business! Oh sweet MacBook, how I've missed you!!!!!
So, what have we been up to lately? A lot! While David was gone we spent a lot of time with Liam's bestie, Owie. Of course I don't have any pictures of these sweet boys playing. And I don't have video of the two-terrific-two-year-olds screaming, "NUTS!" at Mazzio's over and over again while Casey and I tried to devour our salads and pizza so we could get the heck out of there!
We also took Ross to get his hair cut. These two love each other. A lot. (Is it sad that I can get my dog to pose for a picture, but not my son?!?!)
Yesterday we had a snow, or maybe I should say ice day. I was reminded of my childhood as I sat with my iPhone in bed at 4:55 constantly refreshing kfor's closings page....I guess things have changed a bit since my childhood days. No need to listen to the radio or watch for your district's name to scroll across the bottom of the tv screen. Nope, just hit the refresh button on your phone no less than 43 times and your district's name will magically appear! I seriously squealed when I saw Mid-Del added to the page. I tried to go back to sleep, but the excitement got the best of me and sleep was just not possible.
I took Liam outside to play after his nap and most of the snow/ice had melted. He loved the "snow white." (I couldn't get him to say "white snow" for the life of me!)

Have I mentioned on here that Liam started with a new sitter after Christmas Break? There was some serious drama with his old sitter, so we decided it was time to move him to a more structured, curriculum based environment. We absolutely love where he is now! I picked him up during snack time today. He said hi to me and continued eating his snack. After he finished, he hopped up and went to wash his hands. All. By. Himself. He knew exactly what to do. My little boy is growing up right before my eyes!
